The Alergoscop mission
Alergoscop was created out of a wish to bring medical information closer to patients and to turn complex allergology concepts into explanations that are clear, accessible and scientifically accurate.
We place particular emphasis on modern allergy testing and on ImmunoCAP™ technology, explaining what total IgE and specific IgE mean, what the difference is between sensitization and allergy, which allergens and molecular components can be investigated, and why results must always be read together with the patient’s clinical history and symptoms.

About the information on ImmunoCAP
Alergoscop publishes educational information about ImmunoCAP™ technology, specific IgE measurements and their use in the allergy assessment process. The information is presented on the basis of scientific documentation, official materials and the resources available to the project.
The presence of information about ImmunoCAP™ does not mean that testing is necessary for every person, that a result automatically confirms an allergy, or that the technology replaces medical assessment.
A positive specific IgE result may indicate sensitization, but on its own it does not confirm the existence of a clinical allergy. Results must be interpreted by a health professional in correlation with symptoms, history and other relevant investigations.
